I was using a tutorial on Maxon's website to create a head.

It starts out with a box, simple enough.

Then from this box we extrude and inner extrude till we have an eye socket, a mouth, and a nose.
Now..they're all still very rough, it was just setting up the head to be "fleshed" out. Here is the thing, the tutorial told me to make my selections set...so I did.
One for the eye, the mouth, and the nose.

Now it's been telling me to hide polygons and such and now I should have a pretty nice layout for the head. But my block I started with is missing.

The eye part, the mouth part, and the nose part all are there, but not my block. But when I render the current frame, the block magically appears. But after I click out of the rendering, it's gone again.
Also, some of the polygons around the eye are missing, yet when I render it, they're magically back?

Does anyone know what's going on?
I need that block back so I can edit the head further.
Please, any help will do! And yes, I've unhid all my polygons.

Well.. I've looked high and low, and I simply can't find a reason for this. Have you tried emailing Maxon to see what they say?
