Look ok, I like the bg more than anything. Try working on your lighting a little. You have no light source but it seems to be beating off the right side of his body and the blending, try to blend the render itself a little more, not alot but just a tad.. Keep it up and lets some more stuff out of you......

maybe try putting some of those lines in front of the render to give it more depth, for someone new at signature's i think its really good..keep it up.
