Anyone who has a good technique for removing shadows created from a flash on the camera?

It is around the object...

a very tedious done selection, and then with levels you should be able to remove the shadows;
but the pictures need to be of good quality.
Maybe some touching up with the clone tool will enhance the picture a little further.

Yes. I shoot in RAW and with a Nikon D200 and 70-200 lens. It's just a little bit around the arms and I have white background. I succeded remove around the hair with multiple exposures, curves and shadow & highlight.

Thanks for the tip.

if its just a little around arms i would clone a lighter part of wall next to it to remove it.
I did same with shadows and ripples around the eyes of my daughter.
