Hello, as the topic title states. I am trying to export a transparent PNG from Photoshop but the layers and blending options have some blending modes that are crutial to the look & feel of the graphic. Does anyone know of a way I can make the blending modes a part of the design? I know this is a rather bold question because a blending mode is basically blending layers or effects with their background. Anyway, I'd greatly appriciate any suggestions.
Thanks,

Group The layours, then the background will stay trasparent.
Ctrl+G to group the blending mode layer down onto the layer below.

You can't just turn off the background layer?

like above said: flattening all the layers except the background layer should do the trick: background layer is the transparant one, and flattening usually keeps the look and feel you have at the moment you flatten, so PS will just rasterize all the blending.

Isn't the flattening done automatically when you choose to save it as a PNG though?
Turn off the background layer, then 'Save as Web', choose PNG 24-bit.

But let's say you have only 2 layers, one background and one layer above which you would like to be a transparent .png that maintains the blending mode with the layer beneath. You can't merge the two and rasterize the effect because you would lose your transparent layer. You also can't turn off the background and just save it because your blending effect will be lost (as the topic asks about).
So what I had to do was get rid of my blending mode and achieve a similar result using hue adjustments then save it.

Well, you may turn off the background layer, then 'Save as Web', choose PNG 24-bit.
