Not exactly much in the way of looks, I guess I wanted the layout to be quite simple and easy on the eye. Any ideas on how I can make it look more attractive?

URL's are usually helpful 
, i'll crit in the edit
edit 1: on a first glance i would at the very least change the grey background to white and move the advertisement to the bottom of the page, this looks like it is just a one stop advertising site haha

Yeah I agree, and the text size of the ads are just too large. Maybe try reducing it a bit?
