Photoshop, why is this area orange?

How can I change this area back to whatever it was?

press "f" to toggle the default state, but normally it should be grey or black
dunno bout the orabge sry.
will look into that and come back.

you can change that in the preferences thing, its under interface i think, the default colour is grey but you can change it to whatever colour you want.

Hmm interesting I've been working with Adobe Photoshop for about 2 or 3 years and I never knew how to change that color. Just goes to show you that you never stop learning. LoL.

right click onto desktop then properties select the apereance tab then advance options then background aplication and change it there

Right-click the empty area, and you can change the color to gray/black/custom color.

There was a button u could press to do it.. i believe, but at this moment, i cannot recall.

not for the orange, but sometimes its good to have another color, even more so in maximized view.

So true, I have mine set to black, the default color hurts my eyes, when working
dident see this post till the other day, but it had already been answered
