Bug in Safari - background image position is off?

ok so I have my girls site that I'm working on, made it beautiful in IE and FF, but in Safari, I get problems...

in the css the div id named nav is the root of the issue. the li#nav position is relative, when I remove it the background moves into it's correct position, but then the links stop working?

I have no idea how to troubleshoot this one. help me pleeeeeeeease.
