i like it,
but erm...
why is there a lightsource ot the top left of the figure, while the explosion/destruction is at his right and below him?

It looks good to me. I think they way you have the lighting set, sets off the effects it looks like you were going for. The blending to me is on spot. Really nice work "slappy"

I'm going to be blunt, its a nice tag, but there are some problems with it. For starters, the render isn't blended in and the traingle lightsource doesn't really match the rest. It needs more depth, and it sorta looks like he's infornt of the explosion, that would be solved with a little smudging from the render to the bg. Lastly, i don't think black is that good of a color for an explosion, try yellow or light red/orange.
