Hey, I've been designing a new layout for my friends new website and I'm looking for some criticism please =]

its a good start...but hard to criticize when the "meat" is missing...keep working on it and show us your progress.

Hmmm, I see. Well to be honest, I really don't know what else to add. I haven't designed a layout since around December, so I'm just getting back into things sort to speak =P. Possibly could you give me some ideas?

Looks like something is missing try adding some images.You can use stock images,icons or use buttons instead of text.Add more depth to the design.Currently its simple.

Personally i think for a simple design it looks really good and there is nothing much to attack. By the design it looks like you are trying to lure everyone to the content of the site so thats proberly where the most critasism will be.

Hey guys, thanks for all the criticism =]
I added some more touches, and now I'm going to add in some content. I'm pretty sure I know what I should add.
I made 2 different layouts, just the content box is bigger but tell me which layout you guys prefer.
