Hey all,

So I've got a new kind of layout and was hoping for a bit of constructive feedback.

Is it easy to read?
Is it easy to navigate?

Until I've got something ready I probably won't invest in a domain name, so yup the link is long right now while the page is in development.

Cheers,
Tyson

Edit:
I designed it using Firefox for viewing, but it should be IE7 compatible. I haven't checked in IE 6 yet though... :angrylooking:

Realized there were some PNG issues... will re-post link here when fixed. Sorry!

Alright no more tricks on my end! Just as a side note though...

I came across a good utility called IETester. It is free and allows you to view your page as it would render in IE 5.5, 6, 7 and 8 (beta).

The back end functionality is still in progress but feel free to try it out. The site is now IE 6+ compatible. I still have to fix some PNG problems for IE5.5 which I am debating as to whether or not I should even bother... :angrylooking:

You're website looks nice, but I don't like the menu on the top. When you hover a link the background of it turns black.. I think it's ugly :angrylooking: But yeah everyone thinks different.

For the rest it looks nice & clean, And about scripting is nothing to say cause we can't see that =D Anyway, nice that it is in 'Divs' .

Hey Ricardo thanks for the quick feedback. I had kind of just left the black background hover at first because it seemed to mesh alright with the black and white on the page, but I've tried substituting the black for a darker teal colour to see how that goes. Thanks.

I like it, just about everything, apart from the gradient colour ( i do like the bottom part of the BG gradient though )
when you was designing this, did you see what it would be like with a drop shadow, on eaither sides of site, to make it seem like its poping out a bit ?

Nice site, Clean and easy to navigate

I love how simple it is. It has a sort of Web 2.0 feel to it. I do think however that you should rethink the navigation bar under your name.

Everything else looks great. Well Done!

IMO,

I like this a lot. The design and code is clean.

I would like to know how you do the comments portion. I am not a developer, I am very new still, and I would love to add a place for visitors to add comments, just as you did, to my website. I have a guest book template on my page, but I just think it's real corny. I want to integrate a comment area within the website. PM me or email me if you can. I'm hoping you can point me in the right direction.

Hey everyone,
I haven't really done anything to the page in a while because I've been busy - I'm also rethinking the design - I will probably change it, to me it seems neat but it also seems a bit crammed with text. I'll be sure to post something whenever I make big changes to it for feedback. This probably won't be for a while as this is really on the backburner of my things to do list.

@Lollipop: Thanks a lot for the positive feedback! :google:

@Arsenal19: Thank you, I completely agree. I do not feel settled with the navigation at the top either. It needs some changes.

@TOreDEFINE: Hey thanks a lot. I actually coded the comments part myself, it is not complete yet though. I have not added any helpful error messages if a field is invalid or if the verify code is incorrect, rather it just doesn't post their comment if it is invalid. I can help you out with learning this or, once my code is ready I could even share it with you! Again I haven't really had much time to work on this lately because of work and life in general as well as a report I have to get in soon that takes up some time after work. Hope I can help though!

Tyson

Tyson, you are a gentleman and a scholar. [LOL]

I've been running through some problems in life myself, specifically at home. Again, I love the site. You are real talented. It would mean a great deal to me the help you offer, and I can only hope in return, I could help you with something you need. Talk to you soon, brotha. :)
