Im in a special class where we get to edit the current and then create the new school website. I have started to design the new school website and wanted to get your guys input on it
i attached my design, and this is the current website.

I wouldn't use times new roman, and the font for the gray at the top...and the diagnol lines are distracting to the text a bit...and one thing I would work on is color mixing, it's a good start though.

Alright what do you mean by color mixing? The problem is we have to keep it fairly simple and have small file sizes so i cant go crazy with it, and make it how i really want it. Also my hands are pretty much tied color wise considering its my schools site which use Black Red Silver and white.

Well gray red and white seem kind of blah, or atleast in the way you used it, the tabs dont seem to flow well with the header...

And you dont need to use images really for websites, if you know CSS pretty well you can make website designs with maybe 3 or 4 images dependingon the type.

Alright i get back into fireworks and start messing around some more. Truthfully i was never in love with the tabs so i will definitely change that around.

Wow, great improvement. It is definitely cleaner, and easier to look at.
