I was hoping someone here can help with an important project-- I have just spent a great deal of time making polygonal models (using Maya) of various microbes with the intention of creating blend shapes. The idea is to have one starter object that I can morph to look like any combination of other microbe shapes using the blendshape dials. I've discovered after all the modeling I did, that any two belndshape objects must have the same number of vertices for the blendshape to work, but copying a first object and rearranging the vertices resulted in a very distorted blendshape. Any ideas for how best to go about this? Much appreciated.
