PSP definetly, it can do a hell of a lot more and you can plug memory cards in to it.

Speaking of memory cards, How does the DS save system work? Do the cartridges have batteries inside?

PSP!!!! I first have to go and say that the PSP rocks!!! How you ask? ;) :) Well...........I own one, and let me tell you that I love it to death. It plays music, movies, games, pics, and rocks my face off. If you want a professional comparasion go here! It is professionaly done and lays out all of the facts that you need to know. Cost, size, screen, memory ect.
And actually I have been thinking about making a PSP related sig cause I like it so much.

I have the DS right now, and it does enough for me. I have an iPod, so I don't need anything with music. I'm probably not going to be watching any videos or viewing photos on the go, so why use the PSP? But the PSP does have really nice graphics and it just looks cool. Plus I like the games they have out now, and one of the big drawing points for me and one of the main reasons I'm going to buy it soon is because there is a hack to use a web browser with the PSP, and for me that'd be really cool, so I'm probably going to end up getting it for the hacks as well because there are a lot more out right now than for the DS.

I think I'd probably buy the DS even though its not as good. The DS is a lot cheaper, and does a good job, I wouldn't fancy losing a £180 PSP.

^^ I agree.
The DS seems like a recycled, over-used idea. In fact, that's just what it is, with a couple new features thrown in.
PSP is fresh and original.

yea, my bro's psp just arrived today, and basically...its playstation 2...smaller...and has like, twice the features...it straight up pwnsorz ds and there is absolutely no question about it (my other bro has ds, and right now he is sad :P) bigger screen w/better quality, better in game graphics, MUCH more "ergonomically designed" (ie, easier to use, button placement-wise) and more features than ds...basically...its the shizznizzle and thats all there is to it
