I posted a resume on craigslist.com as a freelance graphic artist. The next day a guy sent me this (by the way where you see "site" was where he included the sites he was talking about):

Please contact to discuss a possible opening we have

I am looking to redo a few sites as well as well as have many new ones built our with SEO functionality!

[site]

[site]

also looking to redo [site]

Problem is that i have NO idea what the hell SEO functionality is... So what I'm asking is should I just read up on what it is cause I learn quickly (I learned PHP in 2 weeks so...) or should I refer him to someone who knows what he/she is doing?

Paste links to sites where I can learn in detail what SEO is along with your resume, site, and or portfolio. By the end of today or tomorrow, if I can't grasp it, I might refer the man to one of you. Thank you
