Hello! Could someone tell me how i add this effect to photos i have taken?
Seems like the colours are faded but it is not black and white.

It's quite simple actually. You only have to go to Layer >> New Adjustment Layer >> Hue / Saturation. Then, decrease Saturation a bit (it depends on the image you are using). You can also use a Curves layer on top of that to make colors look more intense, but that's up to you. And that's it

+1 on the curves PSgirl mentioned, because that image has absolutely had it done too it. Just lowering the saturation wont look nearly as good.
