Hi thar!

Im new here at Pixel2Life, and was wondering if there are any free 3D graphics program.
Was getting a little intressted in 3D when a friend show'd me something he had created. So I was wondering if there are any good and free programs out there, since I can't afford to buy Maya, or simular programs :)

Or if someone can sugesst a tut for beginners in 3D graphics.

/Thanks alot for anything that would be helpful! ^^

Try Bryce, in my opinion one of the best 3D programs out there, not sure if it's free or not, otherwise if you have the latest hotoshop, it has 3D capabilities (although not as good as 3D-specific programs).

Lightwave and blender are pretty good, though blender is more for character development.

It really depends what 3D you're after, abstract, models, character design...Every program has a different purpose.

(Not sure if GIMP has 3D capabilities - anyone?)

Bryce is not free, nor is most of the stuff you generally see listed. Blender may still be free, and a good place to start. Terragen also has a free version you can use for terrains. There is also a free 3d modeling and animation program called Alice that is pretty simple but still allows you to learn the basics of animating in 3d.
