[Canen Art]

The last few weeks I've had lots of birds in my backyard. It's exciting to see them, because spring is right around the corner.

Thanks Sam. I'm really glad you like them. I used my Canon EOS 20D and my Canon EF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6L IS USM lens when I shot these photos. Sometimes I use my Canon EOS 30D too. Thanks again.

Really cool! I envy you! Keep up good job and keep these birds in your garden. Anything to change? 4'th photo, white bird posing on white background, so maybe a different angle.

Thank you. I'm glad you really like them.

As much as I would have loved to change my angle, that was the only spot you could see him. I personally like it cause his black head stands out better with the white in the background. I've shot other photos like this with this type of bird and their heads seem to blend into the background really well considering it is black. I think it adds just enough contrast to allow it to pop.

Generally speaking wildlife doesn't let you pick another angle. I have plenty of experence in this field. You have to take what you can get. Moving a foot to one side or the other and the animal or bird will bolt and you missed your shot.
