Half-life 2 Deathmatch Map Complie Issue

yo,


I been working on this map for the last 3 years and Ive added a lot since. I'm working on a rats map for hl2dm. every now and then my maps stop applying changes to the actual map. So Basically I'm working on my map in hammer editor and I added a few cool things (High polygon count). Any way the new changes take there time to compile like normal but when the map launches after compile only the old previously compiled map appears.

Ive had really weird things like this happen to me before but I just kept copying the map and reapplying it in another map or older version that works and deleting the old map blocks. and now that doesn't work either. in fact I been working on this map for so long I'm not even sure how I fixed most of the problems. it just seemed that they kind disappeared after a while. sure I'll admit I tried some things but most of the time it seems it just fixes it self or brakes it self. recently my map before it broke again was taking 25 mins to compile so decided I either needed to fix random leeks or just restructure everything.

So I Complied once again and it took 3 mins. It makes no sense why it compiled so fast. a few days after that I added a lot to the map again but this time it just wont apply, changes still compiles fast though, even in normal compile mod. I thought that maybe since I added to much at one time it messed up. So I deleted the changes and added a simple block and even that wouldn't compile. it seems that after I add huge things(a lot of blocks like say modeling a computer in game) it just stops compiling after that and wont resume even if you delete what you added.

I've talked with others and it seems they had also encountered the same problems. Any help would be greatly appreciated thanks guys.




Any way what should I try?

P.S if you don't know what rats maps are there basically maps that are huge and your about the size of a rat so there basically rooms with furniture and other things and you play in this environments throw a rat retrospect
