Hey guys, I am trying to design a new layout for my website and I want to achieve a fully coded design with these transparent padding thing... Take a look at these sites to see what I mean (look around the edges of the content box/forum. I want to get something like that done... ANd how would I go about coding it into valid xHTML design with those transparent pads around it. Is there a tutorial I could find on this or can someone help me achieve this effect and make it usable in xHTML website?
Here are the sites (I prefer the IPBForumSkins one more because of its extra professional touch)

Its just a png image over the background image, you can see it more clearly on the http://blogs.sohailtech.com/ site,
if you right mouse click the image, then click view background image, then view its propaties,, its just a png
I wouldent know about codeing it in xhtml , as i dont code, but i recken you can just code it like you normaly would with images
The other site you posted, as the images coded difrently as i cant view the images by right mouse click
