Hello. I am a novice when it comes to web design, and i'm trying to achieve something fairly complicated by tomorrow.

I'm trying to make the website fit any resolution that a visitor might be using, so i sliced the template into sort of a puzzle. I want to code the site so that 3 vertical pieces stay to the left, and the rest of the website is up against the top right of the browser window. if the right were to be separated from the left, i'm curious to see if i could use a vertical slice of my navigation bar, maybe 1px wide, and have it repeat horizontally to the other side of the screen.

I would just like to seek the advice of someone more knowledgeable than myself to see if what I'm thinking of is something I'd be able to achieve. I'm simply clueless about the techniques (floaters, divs, etc.) so if this is relatively simple to you, it is rocket science for myself. I humbly ask that you tolerate my noobishness and help a brotha out :)

I'll try to illustrate what I'm trying to achieve with a diagram.

Any help or advice would be appreciated.
