Hey,

I recently did a photomanipulation, this is how it turned out:

Teardrop Original

Teardrop Black and White

The rainy window is my own photograph, the girl can be found on sxc.hu.

What do you think? Please say if you'd like to see something changed/improved, what you liked/didnt like. I'd appreciate your honest critique :(

Thanks in advance,

Robbert

Are you serious? lol

You changed an image from colour to black and white and messed around with some levels, i cant really see a HUGE manipulation there man... :(

Uhm? I had the photo of the window + curtains -> then I added in the girl + teardrop from different stock photos? So it's actually multiple images. I know it's not a big manipulation, but it is one after all. So it's not a photo where I just altered the colours, it's actually 3 images put together.

Ah, reading your comment for the second time, I see what you mean. You thought the manipulation was ORIGINAL -> BLACK and WHITE. But that's not the thing. the ORIGINAL is the actual photomanipulation :( The BW is just a different version you can have a look at too and say which one of the 2 you prefer.

ohhh haha sorry dude, I just thought you got photoshop, found out how to use the Black and white and was like "IM A UBER DESIGNERS@!!!!!" lol. sorry man.

I think the b&w one is quite "Horror movie" DVD Case material lol.

The colour one is also very good. But i think i prefer the b&w one. :(

I won't say that the black and white thing looks bad, but yes, there is some magic in the blue color on the original pic, that gets lost in the black and white. the blue actually sets the mood of the picture and subject.

i like the original best myself, the black and white has to high of a contrast, you cant even see the tear and her face is a little to white i think.. the colors convey the mood of the scene much better, good job

I'd have to go with the original one also! Great job by the way.
