To be honest the colour scheme isn't too appealing and I wouldnt have guessed it was a game website until I saw the "inFamous" Article on the right of the page

If you check out most gaming websites, their headers and logos etc. all have a game sort of theme

If yours is a gaming podcast, perhaps you could have a Wii with headphones on or something, whenever I design, I "Design for my content" - Basically meaning whatever the content of the website is, i try to include that in the design

Hosting company layout - Perhaps some form of network image in the header or logo

Gaming website - A console or controller for a logo etc.

Try and be more creative with the design, at the moment it just seems a bit "Bubbly". Also, it could be that i'm at work and tired, but it took me a while to even notice the navigation! hehe

I think the idea of the website is pretty cool and that it could be something fairly popular, but the design could be a whole load better.

Have a look at this tutorial: http://www.pixel2life.com/viewtutorial/692...t_from_scratch/

This one has a very "Media Feel" about it, but is still a website about gaming, i think thats the sort of look you should try and go for.

I hope you can understand this lol, I confused myself while writing haha, but still...

Any questions i'll be happy to ask them or point you in the right direction if you get lost

I finished the new layout. In the content Window I plan on having it scroll so the page will be dynamic. Also, I think I will move the Login | Register | Account text so that it is resting near the top of the navigation. Also what can I do to the logo to make it POP more lol. Thanks in advance for the tips and suggestions. Also, I am going to make the picture of infamous you see there be a scroll picture between articles. This style i scommon ony many websites. Something like the one at Gamespot. Anyway, yeah tell me what you all think.

EDIT: What is that thing called on gamespot? An Image Slider? Im good with php/html/css but I have never done Java so Im looking for a tutorial.

It's one am here in Japan so Im going to go to bed but check this topic back tomorrow night because when I wake up (after a few hours of classes) im going to go and start coding this thing. It wll take me most of the day though because I am coding a custom user database and forum from scratch. And on top of that is the image sliding thing. So end of tomorrow il come back and post a link to he demo site lol. I also need to code a news program that intergrates into my user database. But check back if you want to see the completed site.
