After a few months i've finally gotten back into web-template design and here's one i'm working on at the moment. I wanted to try a new style and work on my icon design skills as well, so I would appreciate any comments or suggestions.

Note: It's still a WIP but it's coming along...

Seems pretty nice, one question: what are you going to code it in?

Dude... that login box is absolutely kick-ass! Looks sexy as!

Looking good :worthy: Now you just need a logo, or placeholder at least

Looks good Griffin, I nice rollover effect would look great on the main navigation when you go to code it!

Thanks for the comments :)

I think i'm just about at the point where i'm willing to call the template completed, i'm not totally happy but whatever heh.

Here's what it looks like at the moment (redid the event column, finished the footer, and threw in a placeholder logo):

Finally got around to coding the damn thing, along with a few subpages. Might try my luck selling it somewhere now, course book prices are ridiculous

Managed to get them all to validate the first time through, it's a good day.

That's one sexy template you got there griffin. Even the code looks nice and clean :)

My one criticism is that you need mouseovers for the links at the top and the login button. Other than that, it's beautiful.

Agree with rc69. It looks great, but with some mouseover effects it would really make it pop!

Is there any tutorials about to design similiar templates like this, only focusin on the new shiny effects and touching up on my photoshop skills, also im very keen to learn about all this validating coz i wanna focus on getting my sites perfect im now learning to use divs instead of tables etc any help would be great, loving the template by the way 10/10 very smart slight problem on the login box rol over effect in the latest Google Chrome browser though they aligned overlaped about 3px down.

It sure is sexy, however I'm just not a fan of those overall feel of websites. It's nothing you've done wrong, just it reminds me too much of those sites on monster templates or similar sites that have the same corporate feel but only ever crop up on sites that want to and have stolen my money countless times in exchange for 'memory recovery' or something.

But I digress, do you plan to sell it or are you a businessman or is it just for sheets and giggles?

The site looks really nice Griffin. I do agree with Spyder though, it does remind me of the Monster.com templates... I think it has to do with the stock photos used in the template.

Other than that, I really like the log in as well.

Thanks for all the comments :(

I did make an attempt at selling it but that was less than successful so it's just sitting on my external drive for now heh.
