HI all im a newbie here.

For some reason, each time i try to change levels on sep layers it actually effects all layers at once, As if the image is flattened tho it is not!
What could be possibly wrong?

Make an adjustment layer (through the button on the layers panel or in the menu Layer->New Adjustment layer) and then you can toggle the button that says "clip to this layer" or something to that effect. All your changes will now only affect the layer below the adj layer.
