Could someone tell me how can you make this sort of effect where the plasma seems to be a sort of gradient that fades into transparent ? or if you know of a tutorial on how to make an effect like that i appreciate it if i could have the link.
it looks a lot like some tutorials ive seem on how to create a plasma effect from the render clouds filters but i havent quite got it to look like that.

Can anyone help me out with this ?

thanks in advance!

My photoshop needs reinstall, so I cant say for sure but try this

Make a new file any size you like, just make the background transparent, make a new layer and fill it with white colour. Then go to layer effects and add effect glow, use some color between red and orange size and spread aren't important now, just click OK. After that erase most of the image with a soft brush and you should have a similar effect. Now you can go back to layer effects and change glow properties like size and spread to your liking.

I hope that helped mate.

EDIT: You can use various opacity settings for eraser to get different effects
