You better get a canon or a Olympus, they are the best and for the series it will depend on what you want either commercial or not,if not commercial you just need a standard one but if its commercial you need an advance one

Depends on your budget really... personally I recommend Nikon gear, the D300 is a fantastic camera!

As Dan said, it depends on what you are looking for, I myself am a Canon guy but you can't go wrong with Nikon or Olympus. If you want a fairly low cost camera I recommend the Canon T2i, it has the same sensor as the more expensive 7D just fewer features. If you want to spend more money I would go with either a 7D or a 5D MKII. The 5D is a high price but if you want to take beautiful wide angles, that is a good choice because of it's full frame sensor, if you want to take more animal or sports photography with a zoom lens the 7D is a good choice because it is fast and the cropped sensor (1.6x) allows for a greater reach with telephoto lenses.

<----- BTW post count is 1337 lol

if you are looking for a entry level DSLR camera I would recommend Pentax and its model K-x it really offers lots of features and great picture quality considering the cost

if you're not buying a DSLR camera Panasonic Lumix DMC-LX3 is highly recommended

cheers
