Those are a couple artists who do the whole 3d in photoshop thing. Does anyone know how its done? I sort of have a vague idea but im not totally filled in on how they do it. Anyone got any tips?

too me it looks like he made some shape using the lense flare and a hell of a lotta light effects. dupicated it some hundred times, added subtle effects, added things like lines n such with the pen tool.
