By popular demand, we've added Gimp to the listing of supported software categories.
The GIMP is the GNU Image Manipulation Program. It is a freely distributed piece of software for such tasks as photo retouching, image composition and image authoring. It works on many operating systems, in many languages.
You can check out the official Gimp site at http://www.gimp.org
The category is empty for now, but I suspect we'll have some tutorials going in there in the next few days from the folks that requested it's addition.

i once knew a gimp, but he wasn't free, he liked to retouch things and people swore many languages at him..

I hope some tutorials get added for it soon. I get a lot of requests for Gimp tutorials, but I've never used the program, so I can't really write any myself.

tight I sumbited one and will be sumbiting many more. But when I go to the GIMP section it says "Sorry it looks like there are no results for this category/search. If you searched for a tutorial please try using less refined terms." Why? It says there are 13 tutorials!?!!
