Ive been sort of putting off making a layout for a portfolio for myself, i tried a little while back and it didnt go so well, so here is another attempt (i believe its my 3rd, but w/ever)...wanted to go with a simplistic sorta thing...i may do a nice little splash page later, but here is waht i have now!

* colors inspired by one of Niteangel's abstract pieces...

[edit] i just realized how stupid "birth of a legend" sounds, so just know that i put it ther cuz i couldn't think of anything else to  :D :D

Layout V1

Thankx for lookin!

Simple yet complex. I like it, and think you should use this one.

Its ok....

I dont really like the dropshadows on some of the areas, and the site overall is kind of hard on the eyes.

The layout is a good idea but i think you should mess around with the text some more, the buttons, and colors.

Cool. I really like that orange colour scheme. But there is some mistakes:

1. That drop shadow doesn't fit really well. Try making it softer and not so long. And the banner could use some work :P

But otherwise its great.

In my opinon simple is always better. Especially for a portfolio. I'd keep the abstracts, and other pieces for your portfolio work itself.

you know what I'd do? (It looks pretty good btw) I'd change the Home/About buttons, to a pill shaped orange button, with a glossy look to match the header.

Just a thought!

i was thinkin about that, but i wanted to keep it really simple, even the gloss on the banner is edging on too much :P

i guess that text is gonna have to be darker then! maybe ill hit levels and darken everything up a bit, it seems to get much lighter when i hit "Save for Web" than it is in the .psd, hmmm...well

thankx for the comments!

like the idea, but wuite a few jagged edges. make headers smaller. work more on the header. nice job otherwise.
