All the new features are pretty cool, but prices like that are just stupidly high and not really worth it. I may buy it off ebay if I have some spare cash.

Majority of you are lucky you get student discounts, I looked as CS I have also had a look at CS2 whoah you need a good PC to run that mama thats quite a huge proggie.

But if you want to stay up with the people next door upgrade it looks quite neat just a huge mother of a program now.

I dont believe its too worth it. Its all a matter on if you'll use the new tools or not. If you wont use em no need to upgrade. Plus in my opinion the new tools/updates arent worth picking it up/upgrading for if you already have CS.

As far as i saw most of the tools are just new ones to help newcomers to quickly edit their pictures more or less. Also a new verison of the File MAnager (whch i have never used...) is availible

Yeah, it isn't worth it if you really aren't going to make much use of the new tools. I like it just for the fact that it has a preview of the fonts before you select them.

as far as i'm concerned, yes it is

as far as i can see most of you wouldn't benefit from the upgrade

its more a photography/illustrators upgrade

I'm going to assume what you're talking about. You can't discuss illegal dowloads in this forum.

yeah photoshop is very expensive, there is supposed to be a program called the gimp, which is like photoshop but free i think. Worth a try, i have never used though. I think PS cs2 is about £ 500 in the uk now.

For me, it's really not worth it. It all depends if you need the new tools, as raenef said.

I've got it, but its not really worth it for me, I dont exactly use the new tools very much, but I just like being up to date with software :P

I'm sure if you have a proper web/graphics design job, it would become quite essential.
