This tutorial is for those hobby signature/button type thing
Since im hooked on firefox at the moment il be doing one for that. This is my first tut so fogive any unclear instructions, post any queries or comments

Create a new document: width – 80
Height – 15

Create new layer and make a gradient from bottom to top,
Colours- #B00000 -> #FF3030

Drag from top to bottom holding shift.

Set your foreground colour to white Make a new layer and make a selection using the elliptical marquee tool like this - Posted Imageand drag the gradient foreground to transparent. From top to bottom you may need to change the opacity if necessary

Get any picture you want position it on the left, I suggest if it’s a programme use the shortcut button on your task bar eg. Posted Image do a print screen and cut it out. Right click the picture layer and select blending options, select outer glow and change the colour to white (#FFFFFF). Press ok

Make a new layer and change you foreground color to black using the pencil tool at 1px make a vertical line postioned to the right of the picture, change foreground color to white and make a new layer, do two white lines either side of the black line and change the white pencil layers opacity to 30%

Now get a pixel font like visitor or bitdust 2 in white and add a 1px black stroke around it. Make sure the anti-aliasing is set to none otherwise the text will be fuzzy because its so small. Thanks to everyone who pointed that out

All you need to do now is make a 1px black border around the whole thing. to do that make a new layer select the whole thing with the rectangular marquee tool, then go to edit>stroke then choose #000000 and 1px.
Heres the finished product...Posted Image

Ther you go finished you can do this for anything you want.
These are a few others i made

Hmmm its an okay tut...Your finished products text looks way too blurry because its too small.

Also for those who dont know how to do the 1px border, you would want to add that to the tut. Remember not everyone who looks at this will know what your talking about.
