This is my first post, but it's also my first image using a cartoon drawn character as well as the rest of the image being done completely with brushes.

I know it's pretty crowded, but that's the way I liked it. Any hints or tips would be appreciated.

uhh that does look a bit too crowded to me... plus the grunge doesnt really go with chick, try a different render

I've stuck a different render into the image, and although it's apparently female, it doesn't have the girly cartoon look to it, which I think has a better look with the background.

The second one is so much better, however they are both still too crowded for my liking.

yes, numer 2 is much better, but if she was above some of the grunge stuff it would look less jumbled...also, if it were less jumbled, then it would look less jumbled i think

2 is better..i happen to like the bg..just lighten up the black lines..may help with the crowdyness other than that its great

Thanks for all the replies. If I do art like this in the future for distribution for "the masses" then I will definately make some less crowded backgrounds.

I'm glad for the friendly critiquing and appreciate anymore toward this or any other pieces.

I love it. A bit crowed around the chick. 2 is best for sure. Has a more battle grunge feel to it!
