Okay, I'm going for Red Hat, cos my new servers use it.
Not only that, but I'm thoroughly opposed to any Windows based systems, including the one I used to make this post.
If there is something else that I should have considered, please include.

I dont really know allot about this kind of stuff. but since 5/6 computers in my house are windows, ill go with that one. I've only ever used windows, although theres another computer with Linux that never gets used. W/ 98 and ME though... They were great... but i think windows XP does just give it the cherry

The blue screens were thrown, you just got them in black and white.

xp unfortunatly
macs i've found are just generally a pain to do anything, and always involves that *extra* step and linux is generally just too unsupported by driver makers for graphics etc.

Oh, what I would do for a Mac! Dang my tracher to heck for starting me on these things, they just own.
My dream studio would include these 2 pieces of heaven:

and
the 14 inch

and although its default on these puppies, I wouldn't settle for anything less than Tiger
now if only that trip to New York wasn't $700 and i actually had money

i really dont understand why tiger is so cool. my teacher has it on his mac and its not that great. not like you guys make it sound. but me, I've always preferred windows b/c I am a gamer more than anything. i got like 300 hours on BF1942 heh heh and probably 600 on MOHAA. and at least 200 on Q3A. and macs have none of these games so thats why im a windows guy.

I've used Windows for a while, and it's been ugly all the way. I tried the Live Evaluation versions of Knoppix and Suse, and they both rocked. No errors, no icky stuff, and of the 2, Suse was the better...now all I gotta do is get the version that you stick onto a hard drive instead of running off a disc.

I've used everything on the poll except longhorn. I'm a big fan of dos but I still want my graphic user interface. I said Longhorn because I've never used it and I want to know what it would be like.
