i personally prefer PC's overall over macs b/c I am a gamer. Pc's are pretty much faster than macs in any situation except maybe the dual G5. The only way to garuntee your PC isn't a POS is to get an AMD/ATi Alienware or build your own from scratch. i wish PC's were stylish like macs though. if I ever build my own PC i am buying a G5 case and modding it to fit my stuff.

I'm using a Silicon Graphics 550 for small things, and for the big workstuff a Dell Precision 670 (dualxeon, 6gb ram) :P, and I would never change to Mac.

Using a PC, Windows 2000 with Apache PHP MySql since windows XP Home doesnt support that. Anyways Win2000 runs very smooth !

I hate Windows, but I have to admit, of the available versions, 2000 is the most stable. Then again, anything built on NT seems to be. With the 'fatal exception' of the XP versions, of course.

I want to get a PowerPC G5, though.
The one I want has 16GB RAM,
Dual 2.5GHz CPUs,
1TB hard drives (2x 512GB),
2x 30" DVI TFT monitors,
and a pimp bag of other stuff.

Tasty...

Whats sad is macs to me tend to a a little sluggish for the first 15 minutes or so after you turn them on, but I still love em, and I use them at work. But since I don't have the cash to go all out yet, I have a cheap pc which is very customized, its just in an emachines case.

I have a PC, but I heard that Macs are better in graphics work, and our school uses them in the multimedia classes. Would'nt mind trying one out.
