I've already seen a few posts/topics regarding hosters and so on.
Now I'm wondering how you guys, choose your hostingplace.

I'm at the moment hosted @ (mt) mediatemple Why have I chosen them? 1. Availabilty 2.Speed 3. Technology 4. References.

What about you?

I mainly base my choice on costs and specs, but support is also quite a big factor.

I chose my hosting but cost and what they have to offer. It's more a combination. I shop around and I also want quality.

I have been hosting with Hostony for over 2 years now. Theyre low prices, great services, and great technical support has made them, in my opinion one of the best hosting companies on the net.

I have my hosting with OHN because he gives it to me for free for infinite inspiration designs (as I do work for his RTS Design Team) and I'll probably turn that into aportal for the sites I make for their projects but will soon probably move to XiHost because I did some work for them and am getting it as payment. I laso think their service is quite good and support is excellent :D

But if I had to pay for it it would be based on

Specs (Storage, Bandwidth, Uptime & features - such as CPanel and Fantastico)
Cost
Support

I use them all as a factor, but the site design doesn't mean that they are nto a good host.

Cost doesn't really bother me...
Well, it does... but so do all the rest.
I could pay $10 a year for loads of space, lots of bandwidth.. but the site could have crappy uptime, a crappy layout.... it all influences it realllyy... But the price doesn't generally bother me :P

Its all abour reputation people. If lots of people use it, it has good quality. Obviously it fits in every category. Like good price, speed and etc.

you can get hosting from hyedesign.com. And good offers too, for free. Like infinte mysql databases, 300 mb of hosting, 3 gigs of bandwith. stuff like that.

There is no such thing as infinte mysql databases so if your going to give information give it correctly.
