how can i make my own icons? ive been wondering this for a while so i decided to go ahead and ask. how can i set them to be used? im not asking for a tut for photoshop on how to make the look im asking how to take i pic i made for one and actually use it. thx for any help.

Well take your pic and get one of those graphic converters and convert it to a .ico file. Such as PNG2Ico or etc.
Or you could also get the icoformat plugin for photoshop and it adds the .ico format to your save file type as... (and open file types...) so you can just save your .ico that way as well. Plus its free
Then right click the icon you want to change >> properties >> shortcut tab >> change icon... button >> browse to your new icon >> rest is pretty much self explanitory.
