On deviantart all of the time, i see images such as this:

Posted Image

(For big go to http://www.deviantar.../view/11592919/ )

Anyway, iv'e never really found out since im not a 3D artist, what these images are made from? Everyones like "oohh.. bryce" then some say C4D, and others say 3DSM... and i just cant decide.

I know that the whole thing isnt made in one of these programs, and allot of it is with PS or PSP or something.

Just curious

all or most of the 3d programs could make that, it doesnt matter which it is. it is how you use the program.
c4d could have, so could bryce and 3dmax...
the only program which can be telled apart if it was used is zbrush, simply because it is completely different...

ahh... well, i bought C4d a while ago... and now im thinking "oohhh... i can't do that on there, so lets buy 3DSM... asg :x"

Maybe when i come home from school ill have a search through DA and look for some folks that do that art with C4D so i can be certain... but.. i've tried and they dont even tell you :D

if you've just splashed out on c4d i wouldnt bother buying 3ds max, for starters the learning curve in max is alot steeper in my opinion, so if your having trouble with c4d you will with max too. i would just stick it out with c4d and learn that, theyre both pretty powerful pieces of software and i guess its only when you reach a certain level (which you probably wont reach, unless you are planning on doing something in 3d at a very high level for a living) that you will be able to see maxs' superiority over c4d :D

do some tutorials, learn the interface, play around. things will slowly start making sense, just be patient and keep at it ;)

Ahhh Noonononno. I know how to use C4D fairly well, can make lots of things init.. just haven't really looked into the 3D renders similiar to the ones on Deviantart. And iv'e just left school, just doing exams (actaully, just did one about 30 minutes ago) and i'm gonna be bored in the next few years or months or whatever.

And i don't think theres allot more i can learn in photoshop, so i'm just trying to start with the renders and touching up i see around DA... but, i don't want to continue on C4D if i can't make the things i actaully want to make :(
