i usualy do, but it all depends on the sig realy, a while ago i NEVER used brushes, but then i found some cool sets and worked out how to make my own

ALl my sigs have brushing i mostly use it i dont really od plain sigs

I don't, too much work to download/make. Easier to slap on some text and a site logo

It actually depends on a lot of things....
the type of sig...if you have a logo/site sig like adam or myself, brushes arent really necessary....
if yo want a cool techy/grungy/abstract kinda sig then brushes are very usefull...
the kind of brushes sorta depends on your skill level and how much time you wnat to spend on your sig....if you want to take the time to go out and take pictures, convert them to useful brushes, and use those, then all power to you.....but not many people want to spend time like that on a sig...so downloading brushes is the next best thing
