i only find an advantage of having your own account and being able to show off your works and whatnot. but its just too big a community for my likings.

dA is an art website, and though Sigs are accepted in many places as forms of art (and they are) they are supposed to be simple displays of talent and identification, plus, the incredible amount of space that image sigs would take up on dA would be completely unrealistic....

If you think you have what it takes, and have the time required, then yes go join, get your work known, and maybe someone will hire you for graphic designing.
I personally like the community and everything they have to offer. I just dont find it worthwhile to join.

hell... by your logic. a 2 day rendered object would be the most incredible thing you have ever seen
sorry to rant. but it just seems ignorant to place how good an object is by its render time... dont take it to seriously... just remember in the future.. it does not matter how long the render is
i look through deviant art allot... never bothered to sign up because i prefer other places , like here
it is good to look through tho
