i've updated to the free version of AdAware SE Personal 1.06 and when i try to check for virus definitions the percent completed reads 5% then maybe one minute later it says: "definition files could not be read please update again"

i'm connected to the internet, i was an older version of AdAware SE personal (it connected to the lavasoft server fine) but i uninstalled it and dowloaded the newer one for free at www.download.com does anyone else experience this problem? how can i fix it?
