wow thx.lovin that second one
just needs textures
I'm currently doing one arm first and then i copy/paste it - rotate and move and stuff and complete the other side....Is there any better way to do this in C4D? I tried using mirror but it was a lil difficult to use

objects>modelling>symetry...
i agree its looking good
i am having a go at texturing...
properly....
this s my first time using photoshop to make the textures... normally just paint em on in c4d...
i think i am going to restart the texturing and have another go.. because i like brighter robots.. and the warning stickers dont really fit very well.
mainly i am just not happy with it
the grey lines are the wire... they are a top layer in photoshop so i can see where to paint.. they are removed normally... forgot when i actually rendered it

To be honest I've never had the time to try and write a tute before, could be interestingif you can write tutorials i'd apply for twodded, and we'll send you a fresh apple everyday!
what did you use to create it? how long did it take? if you don't mind me asking
I used Swift3D v4.5 to do pretty much everything. (just used Photoshop to make the textures and add the lighting to the final render) It took about 2 days to get the model down and another day and a bit to do the walk cycle...
A lot of people don't give enough credit to Swift and it's mainly thought about for it's vector rendering skills, but you can really push it to the limit! There's some great artists out there that can really kick some ass with it...
The only downside I will say is that the animation side could do with a bit of loving attention from the guys at Erain. Coz if you're doing an sort of complex movements it feels like you're stepping back in time to the age of stop-motion (a la 'Sinbad')

i think its awesome... i guess its given me a reason to sit down and spend time texturing... which has ended up like... paint something onto painted metal canvas, repaint it because it sucked, transform it and make it bigger cos it was to small, rubb bits of it away so it fuses with the metal canvas and looks like it has rubbed away ... still.. its easyer than i had hoped

It can get a bit long winded some times, but you can still get pretty good results
