Hi!

I like to manipulate photos and change backgrounds and stuff like that..

But I have one big problem.. Everytime I take a pic of a girl with alot of hair, it seems impossible to change the background because I don't know how to "cut" around the hair so that the original background does not shows...

Anyone who can help me with that ?

If you can send me a link or something @ mail, I would be really happy :D

Thanks!

Ps.. I love your work.. I have learned alot here.. and I have recomended this site to all my friends :)

use the background eraser / magic eraser, it would be best to zoom in and cut in the hair so you dont erase any of the hair

Not sure how well this works, but here is a tutorial on selecting hair by using channels. http://www.pixel2lif...als.php?ID=7757

Maybe that will work for you... personally I just make the background a layer then cut around the hair and erase with a 2 pixel width and slowly cut around the hair.

your welcome! :D err well i do have this CD that has a tut on how to like put on a new background and it shows you cutting around hair so if you have msn i could send you that (you dont need the CD for it) or you could just use the magic wand tool, im not sure if that would work :S

If you really know your stuff in Ps7, you can Cut-out the relative shape - saturate it - than recolor it.
