this may sound like a stupid question but... how do u save you project so that you can open it up in cinema 4d again?

My guess would be to go to File-> Save

and enter a filename to save your work. It saves the file with extension .c4d and to open it again you can jus go to

File -> Open and navigate to the folder wherein you saved ur project and select the file and Open.

I'm not sure if you meant this or something different...
