How much did you pay,  and code ur own topsites man it aint that hard ;)

Easier said than done, I'm sure Jay is quite busy managing Twodded ;) The one he bought would make life easier because it tied into the forums :D

I think he should send them a P2L T-Shirt and use that sexy phone voice he used on Macromedia, and he shouldn't have a problem ;)

Seems like my shirt is a pretty hard worker ;).

Hope you get your money back Faken, if they’re was any kind of 1 year update guarantee you should have no problem. People are way to busy browsing Towdded right now anyway B).

I'm a little confused by this - you could continue to use this topsites script (for as long as you want), there just wouldn't be support or updates for it, correct? Isn't that how IPB works (that's how their forums work, you buy one year, and you can use it forever, you just can't update or get support). Is not having updates that big of a deal?

It is if something goes wrong or if somone figures out a way to hack it, then there would be no patches and it would turn into a big mess. Better safe then sorry.

The IPB topsites is a 1 year license or lifetime license. I bought the one year.

Right, but you're still allowed to use it after the one year is up.

You have a 1 year license correct, if they remove the license and you already have it then that there probelm. You still have the license. If they with draw the product you have the license for life you don't have to return it.

They can only charge you more if they support the product if they don't then thats there problem money wise not yours.
So it does get updated so what if it works well then leave it.

We wouldn't recieve updates or security patches, and there are already some security flaws in it, so we wouldn't be using it unsupported.

I use their Gallery and haven't paid my yearly upgrade and I don't need too, you pay an initial fee or licence, includes a year of free upgrades and access to the customer center. After a year has passed, you may choose to pay the yearly upgrade fee or simply continue using your current version, but you no longer get support or upgrades. And they don't support the Topsites anymore anyways so why use a product with no support.

Jay is capable of scripting one 100 times better anyways.
