I'm trying to find some free host to try out some PHP or ASP stuff in Dreamweaver. I know I could just do it on my computer, but I would like to do it online if possible. I also want to use Dreamweaver's application stuff so I can learn how. I am also aware that Donna already made a list, but I guess I'm looking for something very specific (or something that does not exist).

Any one of the hosts in the list supports FTP. Use that to upload the PHP files.

I'm not really familar with all the server stuff, all I want to do is to be able able to go under the Applications panel in Dreamweaver and get the database, bindings, server components, etc. to work correctly. I barely know enough about this stuff to ask a competent question, but maybe you can decipher what I'm trying to say.

Let me rephrase my question:
Are there any free hosts where I can create a MySQL connection?
(I'm sure there is a better way to ask that question but I have no idea what I'm talking about)

I tried 100webspace.com but it dosen't allow connections to MySQL databases through external applications. Which is an even better phased question:
Is there a free host that allows connections to MySQL databases through external applications? (there that's my final answer... or question.)
I'm looking through the ones on the site you gave though.
Thanks for your replys.

Pretty much your answer will be no. Not many free hosts are even willing to do MySQL much less allow connection from the outside.

I can think of thousands of free hosts that allow mySQL (thousand being a slight exageration) and remote access.
Just get a host with cPanel, and add a new access host through the mySQL page. An access host would be your IP. If that doesn't work, i don't know what will.
