Hi i've been useing photoshop cs for about a day so i'm very new to it all, i was going over some tuts on this website but i keep hitting a dead end.

i'm looking to mak some good looking text graphics but when a tut comes to useing the fillter option about 99% of the options there are not clickable

the main option that i'm trying to use atm is the "wind" but as i've said this is not clickable, any advice

What do you mean "Not clickable". Most likely your are indexed color mode (image > mode > indexed color) Change that to RGB mode and your all set.

ok i tried the mode thing u suggested but it was already set up in RGB mode,

when i say not able to click, i mean the option in grey not black. no sub option come about.. its like when u first open PS and u can do anything till u have a file open
