Hi in 3ds max how to i add more matrials becuase it the matrial editor ive ran out of spaces to add more textures i know there is a way to save over the ones i am already using and start fresh but it doesnt seem to be working.

anyone have any ideas?

are you really sure that you don't have any more free slots???
I never used all 24 slots in my life :)
and I thought max 7 had already the capability to handle more slots.
Nevertheless, you can grab a plugin from Medit48 at http://www.scriptspot.com or from http://membres.lycos...zz/scripts.html.
Or what I would do in your case, is to use Multi-Sub Materials, they are limited to 1000 :lol: but even then with your 24 slots, you would have the possibility of using 24000 textures... without scripts.. B)
