Just want a bit help in the start and I should be fine. also hes pictures he follows are soft, my pictures are pure pixels not soft at all, how do fix this?

also how big differens is it between 3Dmax v4 and 3DMax v7 ?

3dsmax 7 didn't changed much on the basics, 7 just has more stuff packed inside to do things easier.

have you alread applied a meshsmooth to the object? after that it should get much softer and rounder. though don't do it to early.. Try to work with basic primitives first and then smooth them :blink:

it isn't about the meshsmooth, look at the foot http://n.1asphost.co...at-the-foot.jpg my is full off pixels while the other one is smooth, wanted help how to modify the box, a simple way

How does he edit the box like this. Yes this is a beginners question but beginners don't know much so please help me.

You couldn't of picked a harder tutorial to start with, how about making a candle stick instead lol

Joke, all hes done on the tut is too extrude the polys and rotate and move them. Or you could create a cube with 5 sides and move the points.
