Im having trouble making "Graphic Text" in Photoshop.

Im trying to use a background picture to "fill" text... BUt I have tried 3 different tutorials.. and none work..

The problem I am having is this...

I Open the picture and Define Pattern.

Then I type Text.. and go to Pattern Overlay... But the only damned pattern it wants to give me is this Blue-Bubbly crap.. and it wont let me change it.

Why not just type the text and use a texture fill with the bucket tool?

Type the text you want - then put the image on a layer above the text. Hold the 'alt' key and place the pointer on the line where both layers meet in the layers pallete. Two circles (one on top of the other) should appear next to your mouse. Click.

This groups the image layer to the text and uses the text as a masking layer for it to show through. Unless linked, you can still move the text and image layers around separately.
