Tornado hits Birmingham. Substantial damage has been caused by a tornado hitting parts of Birmingham.

There are reports that several roofs have been ripped off of houses in the Small Heath  and Sparkbrook areas of Birmingham by what's being described as a mini toranado.

Wow, we had a tornado a few years back...here in rural Connecticut, USA, it "hopped" right over my neighbor's house and threw a 40 foot tree onto their roof!!! it was surprising, we NEVER get tornados! as far as i know, they dont havem often in britain either!
